So who are you guys?
AMV League was conceived as a response to the wide variety and hodgepodge of rules that has evolved as a result of every AMV contest doing things a little differently. Videos can be a smash hit at one con and instantly dismissed by another with little transparency as to why. Quality of judging (and even the dreaded "fan judging") can vary wildly as well.
No, I mean WHO are you guys?
Ah, sorry. AMV League is wholly owned and operated by Vitamin H Productions.
How do I submit a video to AMV League?
See up there at the top where it says "Submit an AMV?" Click that, find the AMV League Event you'd like to submit to, and click "Submit Video."
What do I get for winning an AMV League event?
Pride. Pride and a nifty little certificate with your name on it. We don't really have the budget to do any more than that right now...
Hey, what was the score you gave my video?
We don't post scores publicly for a number of reasons (imagine how embarrassed you'd be if your video scored dismally low and everyone knew about it). If you'd like your scores, feel free to contact us and ask for them.
So how much better did X video do than mine? What was X video's score?
Haha... no. For the same aforementioned reasons, we only divulge scores to a video's submitter and nobody else.
Why are you hosting my video instead of embedding my YouTube?
If we're hosting a video (i.e any video with that JWPlayer logo in the corner), it means we couldn't find it on YouTube. If if IS up there (or somewhere else embeddable), contact us and send the link - we'd rather creators get the credit whenever possible.
YouTube took down my AMV! Can you host my video?
Unfortunately, we don't have the bandwidth to be a public AMV hosting site, so AMV League-hosted videos will be limited to only those that have been entered into official contests and are not hosted for streaming anywhere else.
Will you bring an AMV League Event to MY local convention?
We'd love to! Contact your local convention and tell them to invite us!
